Tipping in Ireland

Tipping Jar

Tipping is not mandatory and they don’t have a tipping culture like  the US. If tipping is done cash is preferred but in some places you can add to Credit card bill. While it is not expected it is definitely appreciated. It's most common at sit-down meals in restaurants. Don't tip if service is bad or not necessary if service charge is included (look at the bottom of bill)

How much to tip varies based on the service/situation.

Taxi’s Round up the price

Restaurants 10% of the bill or  20% for groups of 6+

Bus Trips   2-5 Euros per person at end of each day or if same driver do at end of the tour.
