Immerse Yourself in Irish Culture with Amy and Mary

Farmers Market West Cork

Ireland is a country rich is cultural experiences. From local music to storytelling to Irish dance to food there are many different aspects to the Irish culture. During the retreat you will experience at least one night of local Irish pub life. Enjoy an evening filled with entertainment, music, classic Irish pub dishes and if you so choose, perhaps a pint of Guinness or a sampling of local whiskies. Experience a farmers market, where local farmers and crafters gather to share their goods with both the local communities and those visiting from afar. These markets can be held in fair grounds or even on the streets of towns and villages depending on which one you attend. The local Irish produce is unlike anything you will find elsewhere. Throughout the year the Irish celebrate many festivals and events such as the Puck Fair, Ireland’s oldest festival which takes place in August, and the Fiddle Fair, a local West Cork celebration of folk music, which will take place during our retreat and is a possible day trip should our Celtic Expressions members vote to attend.
