Guided by Mary and Amy guests will not only experience the beauty and culture of Cork, but more importantly explore who they are themselves. Mary and Amy will take care of guests from dawn to dusk, providing a perfect space for you. Sight seeing may include such as Blarney Castle, moonlight kayaking at Lough Hyne, beach time at Barley Cove, and high tea at Bantry House.

Days begin with onsite gentle yoga session at the manor or in the lush gardens (weather permitting), followed by a traditional Irish breakfast. Morning discussion sessions include topics such as “Empowering Yourself”, “Mindful Meditation and Journaling for the Busy Woman", and "Detox of Mind, Body and Soul". Capture inner peace through journaling your experiences at the retreat and learn new forms of self-expression through guided journaling activities.  For afternoon adventures a private coach will pick you up and whisk you away to fun filled excursions such as visiting a local Art Center, admiring the beautiful Atlantic coastline, or perusing a local Farmer’s Market. Your evening dining experience will be a home cooked meal cooked to perfection by our private chef ,or at one of the local restaurants or a a carefully selected local eatery in the area. To unwind the days end, Mary will guide you through a gentle mindful yoga practice or meditation and prepare you for a restful night’s sleep where your dreams really will come true.

The Retreat

With the irish wind in your sails, locally sourced food, inspiring fellow retreaters, and an overall healing environment, the retreat will leave you feeling like your mind has been reborn and your body restored. Enjoy yoga sessions, meditation, and breath work on a beautiful irish beach with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean (weather permitting) or indoors in a relaxing yoga space. Be inspired with outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking and sightseeing or slow down with a good book and a hot cuppa tea beside the fire.

A Home away from Home

Farran House is a large, elegant 18th century, Italianate style, Irish manor house situated in the county of Cork in the South of Ireland which you will call home for a week . Feel like royalty as you meander through the elegance and enjoy the warm and bright atmosphere. Sleep to the sound of the rustling leaves in the wind and the gentle singing of the birds in the woodlands in one of the luxurious guest rooms at manor.

The Whole Experience

As you navigate through the days of the retreats you will have an opportunity to experience amazing views from the beautiful irish countryside, sections of the Wild Atlantic Way, the ancient heritage of castles, forts and fairy circles. Immerse yourself in the ancient history, folklore of Ireland and irish culture and savor the whole experience.

Rest and Relaxation

This is a large part of the retreat and take this opportunity to care for yourself in the peace and spaciousness of this lovely manor and its surroundings. No schedule… no demands… just the opportunity to “be” on your own terms. You can chose to stroll the beautiful gardens, or walk to the nearby abbey or curl up with your favorite book and forget any of the planned outings.

Locally Sourced Gourmet Meals

From traditional Irish breakfasts, to gourmet dining, to casual local eateries, your taste buds will go on a retreat of their own. Our chef uses sourced ingredients from local farmers to carefully craft meals that are sure to entice you. Other offsite dining options offer unique and tasty perspectives on a multitude of Irish and exotic dishes.

Sample Day

Wake up Call: Enjoy a Gentle Yoga practice with Mary  followed by a traditional irish breakfast.

Morning: Participate in an open and enlightening discussion on a wellness related topic such as meditation and journaling. 

Mid Morning: Relax with a good book and a cuppa tea in a cozy nook within the manor, or outside on a garden seat with panoramic country views.

Afternoon: Hop on a private coach after lunch and take a drive to a local historic attraction, and enjoy the breathtaking sunset before returning home  to the lodge.

Early Evening: Sit down and reminisce with your fellow retreaters over a delicious meal.

Evening: Wind down with an optional  slow and gentle yoga flow or meditation specially designed to relax and sooth your body and mind in preparation for the perfect night’s sleep.

Schedule and activities are flexible for times, events and of course the weather.
