Riverdance is a theatrical show mainly featuring traditional Irish music and dance. It originated as an intermission act during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, featuring Irish dancing champions Jean Butler, Michael Flatley, and the vocal ensemble Anuna. After the contest and back in Ireland, husband-and-wife production team Moya Doherty and John McColgan crafted it into a stage show in Dublin in 1995 and took the show on the road, which is now celebrating its 30th year.
